20101 Introduction to Media
This course covers the fundamentals of communication science, media history, its societal role, and its impact on public opinion. It also distinguishes media from propaganda and advertising, while providing knowledge on Palestinian media.
25102 Arabic Language for Media
This course aims to enhance the learners' linguistics abilities, through studying the methods of expression used in the press language, radio and television focusing on the syntax and the control of the sentence, advancement and delay in addition to the use of punctuation and their role in reading and reciting
25100 New Media and Society
This course examines the impact of new media on societies, focusing on its role in the Arab world and the Palestinian cause. It explores its competition with traditional media, its role in shaping civil societies, and its potential negative effects, including misuse, addiction, and cultural distortion
25263 English For Media (1)
This course enriches the student skills in English language especially in the field of media, with a concentration on reading and conversation skills, and the specialized terminology and grammatical structures which are common in the media, in addition to train students on news writing and conducting simple interviews
25210 Art of Writing and Editing News
In this course, the student learns the methods of news writing, the foundations of news evaluation, and the templates of news writing for print, broadcast and electronic media especially briefs and newscasts for radio and TV, and the editorial differences between them. Furthermore the student learns how to obtain news, verify information and compare it.
25212 Graphics Design for Media
In this course, the student learns to use the Photoshop software for photos processing, as well as Illustrator for design, in addition to After Effects to create visual effects and various designs to commensurate with the international trends of design. So the students would become able to process artistic and journalistic photos, in addition to construct designs and adding effects on videos.
25223 Basics of Lighting & Filming
The course aims to introduce students to the importance of lighting in photography and TV filming, the types of lighting and its dramatic role in scenes. It also aims to give students brief idea about the types and work of cameras, especially television ones.
25214 Digital Photography
In this course, the student learns the basics of artistic and journalistic photography through practice. Also students learns the basics of photo processing and modifying through the Light room software.
25215 TV Filming
The course aims to enable students to use television cameras professionally, in different working environments indoor and outdoor , in addition to enhance students’ ability in TV production.
25216 Digital Editing (1)
The course aims to enable students to deal with and modify recorded videos, and types of editing transition and color correction. Besides, It aims to enable students how to treat video and audio problems.
25220 Advanced TV Filming
The course seeks to enable the student in an advanced specialized fields of filming such as news, advertisements, short films, documentaries, educational programs and other areas of media production.
25203 Propaganda & Public Opinion
This course explores propaganda, its origins, evolution, types, and techniques, along with its psychological aspects in media. It examines modern political propaganda, public opinion formation, its societal role, types, and impact on public policy. Additionally, it covers the relationship between media and public opinion, opinion polls, measurement methods, and public opinion research
25218 World & Arab Media
The course deals with the Arab media within the framework of the international media system and its working mechanisms and environments. The course seeks to understand the conditions, origins and contemporary reality of the Palestinian media and provide the student with information related to international media systems, networks and transcontinental companies.
25221 Psychological Media
This course explores media psychology, its development, and its branches. It examines the psychology of traditional and digital media, message construction, audience perception, persuasive language, propaganda, psychological warfare, and crisis media management.
25336 ـJournalistic Typography
This course covers design concepts, theories, elements, and visual aesthetics. It explores typography, newspaper layout styles, magazine design, cover and page formatting, and modern digital design techniques. Students also practice newspaper and magazine page layout using relevant software.
25302 Communication & New Media
This course focuses on communication concepts, particularly in digital journalism. It covers the fundamentals of online media, including internet radio, interactive TV, and mobile journalism, while exploring global and Arab experiences in new media.
25311 Methods & Theories of Media Research
This course introduces students to key media-power theories, media control, and media influence. It covers research methodologies, problem identification, study types, data collection tools, and source documentation, guiding students in conducting and presenting media research
25312 Art of Interview & Article
This course seeks to train the student on the foundations of journalistic interviews, starting from the idea, passing through good preparation, leading to the implementation of a professional and fruitful interview, with focus on empowering the student with the skills of question preparation and interview management. Besides, the students will get training in writing newspaper articles with differentiating between its different types.
25319 Reports Production
This course seeks to empower the student with the skills of producing written, audio, visual and multimedia reports, starting from idea, identifying the actors in the event and the angle of approach, to the final output of the report.
25318 Investigation Journalism
In this course, the student learns about the concept of investigative journalism and the difference between it and traditional journalism. Also, it enables the student to acquire research skills in open sources, methods of dealing with human resources, and mechanisms to ensure information, organize and output it in an integrated written, visual and audio formats.
25315 Program Preparing & Script Research
The course aims to define radio and television programs and their importance, features and qualifications of the script writer, types of radio and TV programs, stages of preparing programs, and templates. The course also aims to introduce the student to the dramatic scenario, the stages of its preparation, and its various schools. The students will involve in practical training in script and Scenario preparing for programs, film and drama.

This course develops students' skills in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, focusing on advanced video and audio editing, visual effects, and motion graphics. It emphasizes creating high-quality, engaging content and enhancing digital storytelling with professional tools
25322 TV & Radio Presenting
The course focuses on providing students with the skills of radio and television presentation in the field of newscasts and briefs, in addition to conducting audio and video interviews, as well as learning methods or ways of reciting related to reports, investigations, documentaries, as well as light variety programs.
25317 Websites Design & Management
The course aims to introduce students to the types formats of websites and how to deal with them, in addition to enable students to design news website through various design software. Besides the course seek to enhance the students’ ability to promote their site through sponsored advertisements via social media and search engines.

This course covers media laws and ethics to ensure professional, responsible, and ethical journalism. It explores legal regulations, codes of ethics, international treaties, news evaluation, media distortion, the relationship between media and authority, societal issues, access to information, source protection, and international journalism organizations
25364 English For Media (2)
This course is a continuation to the English for Mass Media (1). It aims to develop the four language skills used in press and media with emphasis on the writing skill. Students introduce with the rules of press writing, its methodology. It includes writing, breaking news, headlines, interviews, broadcast news (news for radio and TV) and writing journalistic reports.

This course introduces the dramatic arts of the human life in its various types, in addition to the use of dramatic structure in radio and TV production with concentration on the study of aesthetics of drama, and the ways of implementing it whatever tragedy, melodrama, comedy or the historical drama. Student trains on criticizing and analyzing some dramatic works and producing short radio and TV dramas
25335 Finance & Economics Journalism
This course is a study and a practice to cover the financial and economic affairs in modern journalism. It will focus on the specialized press in finance and economics and study the publications issued by public or private institutions in the field of economy, investment, stock and all affairs related to the economy, free business and market

The course takes over a key interest in the sport as one of the most popular content methods of the broad mass sports media in the pursuit events, sport events and the mechanism of communication in rural sports and professional sports in the community and have set up various information materials.
25316 Israeli Media
This course aims to introduce the student with origin and evolution of the most important Israeli media published and broadcast in Arabic and Hebrew (newspapers, magazines, radio, and TV) both governmental and private. This course also sheds light on the nature of the Israeli media and its internal and external propaganda methods.

The course aims to acquaint the student with the foundations and rules of criticism of artistic works and to provide him with skills and methods for criticizing artworks, television and cinema programs, and ways of analyzing them and writing critical reports about them, as well as identifying critical schools and their various related methods

This course introduces students to radio and television production equipment and how to operate them, aiming to prepare graduates for careers in media and production companies

In this course, students learn to transform information and news into visually enhanced content by designing various types of infographics and video graphics in an engaging and media-appropriate manner

This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for a journalist serving as a media spokesperson. It covers the responsibilities and duties involved, effective communication with the media, and addressing public opinion
25416 Data journalism
This course focuses on enhancing students' writing skills and utilizing advanced data analysis tools to produce media content. It emphasizes practical use of technology for extracting information from data sources, such as public statistics websites, with the aid of Microsoft Excel. Students will learn to refine, analyze, and visually present data using platforms like Data wrapper and Infogram. Additionally, they will gain experience in designing visual databases using tools like Workbench

This course introduces advertising and its media foundations, types of advertisements, advertising campaigns, and advertising ethics. It covers the artistic aspects of designing and producing advertisements, key success factors, and their impact on media services and economics. This course teaches students about motion graphics, distinguishing it from animation. Students will learn how to create animated graphics, develop ideas, and integrate scripts. The course covers free online tools and professional software like Illustrator, Adobe Audition, and After Effects for creating scenes and adding sound effects to motion graphics
25425 Art of Negotiation & Persuasion
This course deals with the basic concepts of persuasion and negotiation, its skills, steps, planning, preparation, strategies and tactics, how to deal with the negotiating atmosphere and the stages of bargaining, obstacles and methods of overcoming them, identifying the characteristics of a successful negotiator, practical applications and exercises on negotiation and negotiation language
25498 Seminar
The course seeks to provide the student with applied skills to conduct research and studies in the field of media by scientific methods organized around various topics. This is to develop the skills of conducting research and sensing of research problems that require conducting studies about them, in addition to implementing a practical project
25494 Field Training
As a pre-requisite for graduation, each student has to finish a 60 credit hours of field training-as minimum- at one of the media institutions
